TV Wall Mounting Guide: Studs, Heights and Cable Management

A wall-mounted TV should sit at eye level from your seat — not as high as the installer can reach.

Get the height right

For most living rooms, the centre of the screen should sit 105–115 cm from the floor. Measure from your seated eye level, not standing.

Condo walls are different

Many GTA condos have concrete or steel-stud walls. Concrete needs a hammer drill and sleeve anchors; steel studs need toggle anchors rated for the screen weight plus the mount.

Hide the cables

In-wall cable kits or paintable raceways keep the finish clean. Plan a power outlet behind the screen before drilling.
